This place is a refuge, peaceful and relaxing. I was travelling by myself, visited busy Fez and Meknes. Arriving here was a very welcoming break. Moulay Idriss is a very beautiful place and at Dar Zerhoune I felt welcome and so relaxed.

Hands down, this place was the best riad we stayed at in Morocco. Amazing views, a stellar roof terrace, and genuinely the best tagines we had on our whole two-week trip. We stayed at Dar Zerhoune for two nights, and I wish it could have been longer. Easy walking/biking distance to the Roman ruins nearby. And the owner even donates some of their proceeds to local charities! If you’re going to Morocco, you absolutely have to stay here. Such a great place to relax.

We stayed at Dar Zerhoune for one night and it was excellent. Rose was so easy to communicate with prior to our trip and they arranged a taxi to our next destination, Chefchaouen. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were welcoming and the view from the rooftop over the entire town was stunning. Highly recommend eating dinner here, the food was incredible – it was the best food we had on our trip to Morocco!

We choose Moulay Idriss as our journey’s rest point. Dad Zerhoune was perfect for us. Gorgeous terrace and views. Comfortable beds and fabulous food. Staff was very kind, the town is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our extended family. The staff members were amazing and made us feel at home.The home was so comfortable with a beautiful roof top area with lounge sofas. The rooms are very comfortable and provide all the amenities of home. Things were spotless, strong wifi. Meals were great. We purchased dinner each night and it was delicious and a large spread of dishes. Donkey’s can carry your luggage almost to the door as its a steep climb up. Highly recommend. Even my 7 yr old loved it. About 15 minutes drive to Roman ruins.

This part of my trip to Morocco was my most memorable and cherished. This city is such a spectacular, picturesque, small city in the countryside. The countryside was breathtaking, the nearby Roman ruins a treasure and this tucked away retreat an oasis. Rose has established this guest house that anyone will enjoy who loves fresh, home-cooked food made from its wonderful staff, cozy, colorful rooms and peace and quiet unlike anything you might have experienced.
